Wine
Bottle is located across the street from the Butterfly Cave. Get
off the bus when you see the larger-than-your-house butterfly on
the cliff. It is about a 5 minute walk, and you can see the cliff
with the Chinese writing on it from the entrance to Butterfly Cave
straight across. Wine Bottle is a great place for very beginner
to 5.11 climbers, although there are harder climbs. The routes are
actually quite good, and most are fairly consistent. The left hand
5.9 is probably the best lower-intermediate climbs in Yangshuo,
along with the one in Thumb Hill. The 5.11c is one of the best 5.11a’s
around. Fun moves, don’t get too excited about the grade.
