Moon Hill

Moon Hill is an incredible climbing area, one of the kind of places that you really go travel to see. It is located on the bottom of a huge stone arch, and it is even possible to hike to the top of it. Words really cannot describe it, see the pictures to really believe it.

The hike there is a good warm up, a little sweaty in the summer. It is mostly straight up a hill, but with well established stone stairs. The entrance fee is 5 Yuan. The posted fee is 8 Yuan, but show them your climbing gear and get 3 Yuan off for the already negotiated climber discount.

The climbs go from slightly over hanging to very overhanging, and all of the routes are good. If you are into working projects and climbing hard, this is the place for you.

Just tell the driver to go to Moon Hill (they should understand this no problem … just say “Moon Hill” and no other words – don’t confuse them by saying something stupid like “I want to go to Moon Hill”), and then hike to the top. At the second set of stairs go left to get to the climbing areas. When you reach the top, you will see a blue sign with the route listings on the left. Hike up around this for another 45 seconds.
